Tips:
- We recommend pairing this with other components to make it a complete meal. We love adding this to a whole grain wrap or bread with lettuce!
- Cook the chicken however you would like (bake, saute, boil). You can save time by using a rotisserie chicken!
Why We Love This Recipe:
1. Lean Protein:
Chicken breast is a high-quality, lean protein that is essential for muscle repair, immune function and overall health. Protein is also very satiating, helping to provide more sustainable energy.
2. Healthy Fats:
The walnuts are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are important for heart health, brain function and reducing inflammation. They also promote satiety, keeping you full longer. Also by using Greek yogurt as the base for the dressing instead of mayo it reduces the amount of saturated fats, which are known for increasing the risk of heart disease and inflammation.
3. Fiber:
The apples, grapes and celery in this recipe are rich in fiber. Fiber helps our digestive health, regulates blood sugar levels and supports long-term weight management.
